Filatura Tollegno 1900 is a heritage Italian yarn mill with a century of history. Tollegno operate their own spinning facility in Poland, as well as a dyeing facility located within their headquarters in a century old industrial building in Biella, Italy. All our Tollegno yarns are RWS, Nativa and Oeko-Tex 100 certified. In Łódź, Poland, Tollegno receives wool tops that have been scoured and combed close to the farms. The facility is equipped with high-tech and energy-efficient spinning machinery, which stretch, spin and twist the fiber into yarn. The carefully calibrated process sees 1kg of wool, spun into 30km of yarn. The yarn is then wrapped onto cones and packed for dyeing in Biella. The Biella facility is equipped with fully automated dye beams, a dye lab to create new colors and a wastewater cleaning facility. The water cleaning facility is large enough to clean the water of surrounding factories, with a process that delivers grade A drinkable water. The Tollegno archive of yarns and fabrics created since 1900 is also hosted at this location.
