Filmar Nile Textile is a family owned textile business currently being run by members of its third generation. After originally being a producer of dye stuff, they eventually developed into specialists in the field of cotton yarn dyeing. To this day, the facility remains in the country of the company's birthplace and they have also acquired a subsidiary in Egypt. A dedication to environmental-friendliness runs throughout the entire business and its facilities. They manage their chemicals and waster water in adherence with the Greenpeace DETOX program and the ZDHC "Roadmap To Zero" guidelines. The Melange yarns we use are grown and fiber dyed in Egypt, where the facility and the farms are in close proximity to each other. Our solid-colored garments on the other hand, are both spun and dyed in Italy where they need to be spun into yarns first, before they are yarn dyed.
